I have this creepy feeling my iPod Shuffle's alive... *drama music*

Made a short trip to Hougang Mall to run some errands and brought my Shuffle along.. entered HG Mall on a bright sunny afternoon. When I left, it escalated from a drizzle to a full blast omfgbbq im-giving-it-all torrential downpour in the short 1 min I walked then ran then sprinted then slipped to the bus stop.

THEN.

When I got off the bus to meet the rain again, planning grass patches to run on cuz my slippers do their natural job of slipping very well on concrete, an unknown melody played in my ears...

Something I've never heard before, in the months of it playing on Shuffle mode since I ripped songs w/o knowing what I ripped from Ian Cheng. (in a desperate attempt to cleanse the device of Korean boy bands infected by my sister) However, it was strangely familiar...

And it finally struck me, as if mocking me as I ran drenched in the rain, the happy voice singing away...

"I'm singing in the rain.. dancing in the rain...."

.ARGH.

One and Two have sprouted so many pin feathers over night! They look like punk chicks with spiky hair lol.. And from the emerging blue, I'm guessing One's a girl and Two's a boy. *cheers*







Three has grown bigger too, though still sleeping a lot. Been trying to stand up already. Four is still very small, most of the time just lying there and sleeping =) Still a long way to go with these two.

Ta-dah!! A grand total of 4 chicks! Hopefully they look more than a pink blob now..

Anyway, gonna go out for CNY reunion dinner soon already. Will be abck to post A LOT on my Vday wrapping experience with SWOC.. =)

ok, the past few days has been quite a lot of Vday order consolidation, money collection and work sessions.. but been fun working with SWOC, a committee I'm glad I joined, just like the XIX =) (cuz XIX is just too hot!) ok nvm my randomness

just cleared up my room, cleaned and washed up all that should be washed, and my room is smelling nice of "Green Apple + Tioman" aromas, I showered, bed is clean and fresh, and I'm mugging happily.. ahh.. is not as cool as I'd like, but its windy and quiet.. slow songs coming out from my speakers, ahhh.. love the serenity..

btw, that day while waiting for yingying's hair to be done I browsed through this 2nd hand bookstore and found this little gem: "The Penguin Book of English Verse, Edited by John Hayward" Only $4, and with little notes scribbled in the John Donne and Shakespeares section. Compilation of poetry, lyrics, odes, sonnets, love songs spanning across four golden centuries of poetry.. woohoo..

tho some are in such cryptic english that I do not really get them, most of them are pretty easy to get even if spelt differently.. and some are just wonderful. Just one by Surrey that made an impression:

I feel the same pain.. even though we're four and a half centuries apart. ouch.

woohoo.. coolest durian trip ever.. went to Geylang two nights ago with yingying, tingping and szeyi for durian..

since yinginyg didnt really eat durians we went for tauhway to fill us up a bit first.. Next was on to "Durian King" for Durian.. then here's what happened..

ONE

We approached Uncle for durians for 3. We picked 3 durians which he wanted to sell us for $15 per kg.. We said ok.

TWO

Uncle proposed we take 5 durians, and he down it to $13 per kg. We were thinking that's quite a lot for 3 almost full people, and yingying doesnt take durians. But we okay'ed anyway, thinking of bringing some back.

THREE

Uncle threw in one more for free, and issued a challenge: everything for $120, and if 3 of us can finish all 6 durians, it'll all be free.

FOUR

After 1.5 to 2hrs of stuffing, we finished all 6 durians, amounting to 9kg. Uncle was a man of a word, and we really did just say goodbye and walked away.

During the whole time we were there the Unlce just kept promoting us to the rest of the customers, who watched us eat and eat and eat.. hahaha fun though, and never had so much durian at one shot =)

We then walked from Geylang to Chinatown before taking a cab back to Sheares..


Titan's little babies!!

Today the first thing when I got home was to check on Titan and the nest box.. guess what.. one hatched!!! wahahaha its so small and cute and pink! and it must've been a couple of days old, since some down feathers were growing already.

Only managed to take one photo though, didn't wanna disturb the mum too much.
