There was once a very sick man,
Who lived all alone in his den.
All he ever wanted in his life,
Was to stack his cards up high.

A week was left in his numbered days,
When he started his card-stacking foray.
Stack and stack he did,
Through the little flops and flips.

Noon the third day, he hit the third last tier.
You could almost see in his eyes, that hidden tear.
After three and a half days he's almost finished.
So certain that his dream will be accomplished.

But just as he was placing the next two cards,
A sudden jerk coursed through his hands real hard.
Time slowed down momentarily,
"My old injury," the sick man thought silently.

In a loud cacophony of sick crashing sounds,
The cards tumbled all the way down.
Numb and shocked the sick man looked,
Picking up the cards as he violently shook.

"Am I never meant to have my happiness,"
"With these maimed arms of sadness?"
"I was just so close to the top,"
"Guess it is time for me to stop."

Three days more till the time he dies,
In the shambles of cards he sighs.
Despair, hate, anger, betrayal and self pity, is how it ends.
He will never smile again, as long as he has those hands.

Yesterday at bout 11:20pm I left home and headed to Changi Airport early. Didnt want to be late in any case for stef's 1am flight =)

Reached at 12:05am, just in time for a nice BK Mushroom Swiss Double Cheeseburger =) Armed with my windbreaker, burger and 8 Days magazin with brainteasers I sat down at the chair slwoly munching and reading. Soon, 1:05am came.

And people started streaming into Belt 18, flight CA 957. Waited and waited.. *yawn* till bout 1:20 its still just aunties and uncles.. no Stef! =(

Then came this spunky hot babe in a white top and wearing a cap with a short ponytail behind. That's my baby alright =) She took so long to grab her luggage I had to pace up and down so many times I looked almost like a father waiting for his newborn.

Finally she walked out, flanked by her friends and smiling that wide silly grin at me. (Bet I was doing the same thing too). I felt.. just so happy and glad like a hamster in a pot of sunflower seeds, covered with honey coated corn toppings.

The first thing we did was reach out and held our hands together. Now, this time, I was not just a happy hamster in a pot of seeds. I felt more like the hamster who've actually finished eating up the whole pot of seeds and honey-coated corn.

The two weeks's over, she's back =) *dance prance flip flop hoppity hop*

P.S. For another perspective of how happy I am, I think I couldn't have been happier even if I got my Rhok De'lar. And dont come lynching me for comparing this to WoW. The guys will know the meaning of getting a Rhok. Haha.

*yawn* just got back from cheng's bdae dinner at Fish & Co. Heh was the usual very nice gather around and catch up with each other kind of meeting, filled with deep conversations about old school cartoons and mooncakes and many laughs.

Anyway, the flower I order through www.chinaflower.com reached stef safe and sound on 15th may for our 14th =) Was kinda worried the flowers might get lost or smth.. and I had to type in the address in chinese =P

Went out with chiew on thursday as I promised, haha and went home with a pink muji pen, a lighter wallet and being laughed at for having milk and ketchup at MOS Burger *bah* what's wrong haha

Ok.. now just to wait for stef to come back home.. *waits and waits*

Hrm, friday's bbq at Stef's place was quite a blast, though it felt kinda short to me. Maybe because a chunk of time was spent watching Scary Movie 4 whose subtitles was more hilarious than the movie itself.

And saturday was another night of laughs, watching Audrey's EDS nite play which was not bad at all, haha and the dunmanians were actually funny. Pearl too, just had to smack Aud's butt with such a fat-tremoring slap in front of Aud's teacher. (was pretty kinky at that moment imo) The entertainment was then followed by a nice supper and enlightening chat about how Rabbits copulate more than rodents even though a rabbit is a rodent at Dunman Food Court. *lol tanen*

Slept at 1:30am after that at stef's. then woke up at 4am to accompany her to the airport at 5..

Stef's going to Zejiang University in Hangzhou China for 2 weeks!!! Ahhh... hope she doesn't get into too much trouble there.. if only she could package me into her bag as a pocket translator haha..

But all is fine, she has given me raiding rights in WoW for the next two weeks provided that I behave myself. I mean, since when have I misbehaved? *wink*

And yesterday the FF went for a quick MI3 movie and promptly left for home to raid after getting tanen's mum day present.

Yep, so that's all for this weekend and oh yes, before I forget, gratz to Ian Tan for hitting 60!! Welcome to the club man, now the real fun begins.

"Ahh... bright!! Ed no like no sun shine on me eyes. Hurts.. "

And there goes how Ed the caveman, with his mop of hair gets dragged out of his comfortable quarters.

His female companion, in his state of dreaminess and lowered awareness after a meal of flour, potatoes and eggs topped with spices, had dragged him across the lands to this mysterious cove, dribbling with hints of the dark and arcane.

Afraid, Ed held on to her, hoping for a slight chance of getting out of this. He had a very uneasy feeling welling inside of him, nagging at him not to go further. But the stern and cold eyes of Stef quickly quietened down any protests, for Ed knew not what the cove might do to him, but he sure knew the costs of incurring Stef's wrath.

With an almost inaudible whimper Ed ventured in accompanied by Stef. He was quickly swooped down by an unknown being, into a mechanical contraption. He caught one last look at the assuring face of Stef, and then he was, alone.

Still disoriented, the being mumbled to Ed in baffling tongues, and immediately rose its arms of what seems like blades and spokes. The blades invaded Ed like a swift raptor hungering for meat. Pieces of Ed flew and splattered all over the floor. Ed could only howl silently, petrified.

Twice, the blades stopped and Ed thought it was over. He was wrong. As soon as the blades stopped, he was dunked into the black abyss of water, where invisible hands groped and grabbed at him. He could feel them, but he could not see.

Whenever the water subsides, a veil would envelop Ed, followed by withering hot blasts of air before the blades came for him once again. Ed still could not see very clearly in that dark cove, and everything was just so unfamiliar to him. He felt like a fish in a desert, a Chiching in a poetry class. Watching in a state of confusion as the blades ripped parts of him off, but he could feel no pain.

"Help me, please, me no like this place. Where's Stef?" Ed thought helplessly. Finally, the blades seemed to stop. The being hovered away, and the mechanical contraption released Ed. Dazed but relieved, Ed staggered, and followed the light out of the cove. Behind him, he felt someone, maybe a cutpurse, rip his leathery coin pouch and pilfered a few gold coins.

But he didnt care, and he went in search of Stef.
