I'm home!! Finally after the past few days of roaming the streets of Singapore, I'm finally home.. so so tired.. *zoneeeedd*

Let's see.. on Friday, I went to mughaven to study as usual(this part is getting real boring) so, I brought my Fiefie along! she's so excited about going out.. haha

Something I realised: Parrots and hot chicks do not go together. Some of you might think that, "Hey, that's a guy with his pet parrot who doesnt fly away! So cool! let's go talk to him bout his bird." Noooo.... dead wrong. The target audience for a free bird show, I've come to realise, is ages 3-5 coupled with their mummys or daddys. And all you get is, "Hrm, doesnt fly away huh?" "How much did it cost u?" And, the final question everyone could not resist but ask: "Can it talk?" Arrrgghhh.. must parrots talk?!

Anyway yep, Fiefie was really cute running all over the table nibbling my headphones, kidnapping my pen and dragging my handphone away, and quite annoyingly biting the lead off my mechanical pencil with lightning speed each time i tried to write. And when i put her on the bench to make way for the fries she kept climbing up to get at them.. cheeky bird.. Oh yes, tanen has a photo of me and Fiefie sharing a fry while on my shoulder.. Haha quite cute.. i'll see if i can get the pic.

Yesterday, went for my Sat salsa B2 lesson 1.. good thing da told me not to miss it..the pace has definitely picked up.. Now there's B1 2 3 4, and Susie Q and CBR.. more to practise now.. hrm. and for the first time there're actually equal number of guys and girls.. so we just kept rotating and rotating and rotating.. I even got dizzy.. (which is not good)

Finished lesson, rushed to meet the guys for a a simple supper thingie and talked abit before heading back to my place for Wallace and Gromit The Curse of the Were Rabbit.. Great cartoon! very old-style and cute.. 5 years in the making.. *Respect* (but then respect doesnt mean monetary support.. it was a pirated dvd)

And let me ask, who has heard the RIDICULOUS GUO MEIMEI VERSION OF DRAGONSTEA DIN TEI?!?! sorry for the caps but its like the most absurd thing I've heard.. Direct Translation: "I see a cockroach, I not scared not scared la, My nerves are bigger now, Not scared not scared not scared la.. etc etc" My. gosh. *concussed* (try singing the above in chinese to the tune, or even better, sing it as stated above!)

1215	Sat down, opened my Biochem, and got a coffee(i hate coffee) and MUGGED.
1430	Finished Biochem thoroughly and enjoyed it.MP3 player ran out of batt.. so did my stash in my bag. Took a break, went to buy an eraser, my fav. pen and batteries. Went back, and MUGGED.
1630	Realised I forgot to take my papers out. Went home, saw my present from U.S. A wonderful 50th anniversary Playboy poster made up of all the past covers forming the Bunny head.(Thanks Cheryl bud!) Ate porridge, took papers, went back to mughaven and MUGGED.
1830	Emma and Ben arrived. Talked a bit, did my AJ paper 3, clarified doubts with ben and MUGGED.
1945	Got hungry, went to hawker to eat, Ba Chor Mee again. -sigh- Had satay though =) Showed them the world of Cheap china brands of mp3 players.
2030	Was back at mughaven and MUGGED. This time I did TJ paper 3. All this while if you guys were wondering, emma was playing Gundamn on his PSP, and Ben alternating between studying and translating the mission objectives from jap for emma.
2230	Decided to break camp and go home.
2330	Blogging

So, if you guys actually survived thru the whole list, you'd realised that your dear edward had accomplished close to 10 hours of studying!!! A never before seen feat. Plus it was productive studying, with my brain opened up and info poured in like adding excess NH₃(aq), and seeing those mugger ppt dissolving into a clear solution, which formed strong bonds with my brain cells.

Side highlights: First triops nauplii spotted!

woooohoo!!!! my triops eggs has finally arrived in my mailbox!! and if u guys were wondering where it came from, it flew all the way from austria to here!

ooohh.. Ha Ha Crabs can go on laughing at the dumb pple who bought them and got conned $25. They're not getting my money!

Was walking around Serangoon North looking for algae cultures and live rocks and saw this huge tank of large shells. Since it was pretty much empty i assumed it was just a shell bin so i went to forage. And behold! those shells are inhabited by large land Hermit crabs! As big as urm.. slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Selling each for $10 and buy 4 get 1 free. There were pretty red ones, white ones and blue ones.. very nice. However, they were in a pretty bad state.. No substrate, insufficient humidity and cover and unsanitary living areas. Tempted to buy, but I've got no crabitat for them so I decided not to. (big effort on my part)

Just made a long trip to Reborn Aquarium at Lavender to look for live rocks, as recommended by Doyle. A pretty comprehensive shop selling all things marine. Looked around a bit and realised all the live rocks were too huge for my "projects". But guess what.. I found that the substrate used for housing the rocks were more suitable for me, so I requested to buy them but the guy decided to give a handful to me for free instead. (he was amused when i told him what i needed them for.)

Rushed down to stef's place for dinner, then it was mugging all the way till now. Before this, i initially wanted to just ask tanen if he was free on sunday, but he thought smth was wrong with me. Which, i showed stef (<-mistake). So the cheeky stef made me fake him that we had an epic quarrel and he tried consoling me.. with things along the lines of: "You want to eat?" oh cool man.. russel peters style.. stef broke out giggling uncontrollably after that.

So this is a blog, and it is public on the internet.

So I, Edward Chua, hereby solemnly make a public apology to Mr. Tan En for the scare and worry caused. I did not intend to do it and was coerced into it. It will not happen again.

haha havent been blogging for quite awhile.. been out so much! (will upload photos asap, long post ahead)

let's start with the first:

A 2-part Birthday Special from 1st Nov to 2nd Nov

Part One
On the 1st we went to Pearl's place, with me waking up at 0730, and leaving the house at 0826, and eating breakfast alone at Bugis Macs =) *wink chiew* yes its 1-1 now.. haha. took a bus to pearls and got there at 1040 to see the sleepy yappies just waking.

took a dip in the pool from 12-2plus, showered and went up. Me and pearl went Parkway to get a cake for Ben's bdae, and i chose a Berry Mousse Cake, exactly the same as the one i had for my bdae! k fine. i think it was nice so ya. Acccording to Pearl, I "conjured" up a lighter, and lit the candles on our way back to her place.. (check out my cool Hold-Cake-Pose pic) and sang 'Happy Bdae' when we walked in.. surprise ben! had a shirt giving moment where they had to shake hands. Must be a soccer thing. btw cut and ate cake(had three fat slices! woooo) Along the way we convinced pearl i was a smoker, then, chilled out, bought and ate dinner from some hawker place again.. then Bad Boyz II.. what u gonna do when we come for you.. heh thanks pearl for having us over! oh, for those interested, according to pearl's scale the used to be approx 60kg edward is now a whopping 67kg!! -dance dance- highest ever.

Part Two
The next day, we were to meet at Ben's place for mugg-a-mania. And Laur sent me a msg, which i pretty much guessed the contents. It went vaguely like this: "Let's surprise ben!" But since i wasnt there yet i referred her to tanen who was there. At bout 4plus when we were all there, suddenly tanen requested to buy dirnks and ben directed him tot he mama shop below.. minutes later, deja vu! Laur came in the door with a lighted cake and surprise!! we didnt sing no song though. Cut cake, ate cake, this time, tiramisu. *yum* Took photos, mugged a lot and went for zi cha, with a lot of chilli again. damnit.

now what happened yesterday:

met tanen in the afternoon, at my mughaven(i decided to call it just mughaven) for 1min, then went for lunch. Back to macs, saw a friend and according to tanen i started a 45min conversation. But anyhow, at the same time emma appeared to -watch- us mug for a short while and left to meet wendy. Mugged a lot again, and was inspired by the Haber Process to sms a poem to stef:

Saddled on
Sunbeams our love
Shall ride,

Waiting in
Willowbuds this joy

Finally freed from falling,

(ok this is a 5min conjuration, and dont ask me why ammonia production)

and stopped at 8pm, then walking to buy headphones, followed by dinner. Then came the last part:

Me and tanen decided to have durians. Saw a stall, and just bought them, in those packeted form. BIG MISTAKE we were lazy to even check. sigh. So when we sat down to eat the durians, the durians were the best we ever had.

We categorised them:

• Very Very Bad: Consistency of Hardened Rubber, something like tyre rubber.
• Very Bad: Still felt like rubber in the mouth, but at least it had a faint durian taste, with one or two still-soft spots.
• Bad: ahhh.. this was nice.. its about 50% creamy, tastes like durian and its sweet, but just with a more chewy twist.
• OK: These are the normal durians.

Overall, we had about 70% Very Very Bad, 20% Very Bad, 5% Bad and 5% OK. We even tested how the durians might bounced on the hard floor. Finished what we could, washed our hands and went to Video EZY to borrow "Event Horizon" (you guys watched it before?) to watch today. Along with Constantine and 28 Days Later since its 3 for $10.50. Went home feeling retarded bout the durians. When we walked past the uncle, he actually managed to sell the remaining 10+ packets when we left! How trusting people are.

But those who are worried bout dear edward's tummy again, I'm safe! At least the durians were still edible. Not some bacterial mush.
